Cacoila(Portuguese Beef With Pork) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. each: lean stew beef and boneless pork
    1/4 lb. lard
    1 onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. paprika
    1 small can tomatoes
    black pepper
    salt to taste
    2 tsp. liquid crushed red pepper
    1/4 to 1/2 c. table wine
Preparation
    Combine
    all
    ingredients
    in
    good
    sized pot and cook slowly for
    1
    1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
    Add only a little salt at the beginning.
    Later add more salt and pepper to taste. Add warm water, if needed.
    Stir often.
