Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
2 Tbsp. whiskey
1 egg white
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, sifted twice with salt; add 1 egg and 1 egg yolk. Add whiskey. Spread dough evenly and spread egg white on top of this letting excess run out corners of pan. Sprinkle on sugar, cinnamon and nuts; press slightly. Bake in shallow pan (10 x 15-inch) in 325\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
