Mom'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 to 12 large white potatoes
1 large white onion
4 c. whole milk
1 c. real butter
1 c. grated American cheese
2 tsp. seasoned salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
crispy fried bacon
Preparation

Peel and cut potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
Cover with water and boil for 30 minutes.
Cut onion into 1/2-inch pieces.
Add to potatoes and boil an additional 15 minutes.
Drain all water from potatoes and add milk, butter, salt and pepper.
When thoroughly hot, add cheese and stir until melted.
Pour into individual bowls and garnish with crumbled bacon.
This soup is very tasty but is definitely not for those who need to watch their cholesterol intake!
