Apricot Dessert(Non-Bake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box vanilla wafers, crushed
    2 c. powdered sugar
    1 c. real butter
    3 egg yolks
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. cooked apricots
    1 pt. whipped cream
Preparation
    Save out 2/3 of the crumbs.
    Put rest in a large pan.
    Cream together the powdered sugar and butter.
    Add the egg yolks.
    Beat the egg whites stiff and fold in. Add the vanilla. Run the cooked apricots through a sieve.
    Put egg filling on top of crumbs.
    Put apricots on top of egg filling.
    Place the whipped cream on top of the apricots.
    Refrigerate overnight before eating.
