Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. smooth or crunchy peanut butter, divided
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, melted
Preparation
    Cream together 1/2 cup peanut butter and butter; add sugar gradually and beat until light and fluffy.
    Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Mix in flour sifted with salt.
    Spread dough on ungreased cookie sheet (about 14 x 17-inch).
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
