Crab Meat Newburg Appetizer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 (7 1/2 oz.) cans Alaskan king crab, drained and flaked
    3 hard-cooked eggs, grated
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    dash of ground red pepper
    1 Tbsp. snipped parsley
Preparation
    Melt butter in a saucepan.
    Add flour and salt.
    Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened and smooth.
    Add cheese, stirring until blended.
    Blend in remaining ingredients, except parsley. Put into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake, covered, at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes, or until heated through.
    Sprinkle with parsley.
    Serve with Melba toast or toast points.
    Makes 25 servings.
