Never Fail Black Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. flour
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. cocoa
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg, vanilla and 1/2 cup of milk. Sift together dry ingredients.
    Alternate dry ingredients with water.
    Stir well after each addition.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
