Canadian Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 lb. butter
    juice of 1 lemon
    5 c. plain flour
    3 c. brown sugar
    1 lb. English walnuts, chopped
    2 lb. dates, chopped
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream
    butter
    and sugar together.
    Add lemon juice and well beaten
    eggs.
    Add\tflour
    and baking powder, flavoring, dates and
    nuts.\tBake
    slowly
    3 to 4 hours at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0. Cut baking time in half when making half the recipe.
