Rich Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 1/2 c. pecan halves
    1 unbaked pie shell
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Combine syrup, butter and sugar in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil and boil gently for 5 minutes, uncovered.
    Stir occasionally.
    Cool slightly and layer pecans in pie shell.
    Mix eggs, vanilla and salt in bowl.
    Gradually stir in syrup mixture and pour over pecans in pie shell.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.
    Cool on wire rack.
