Very Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
    2 c. boiling water
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
    6 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 qt. strawberries, mashed
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; cool slightly and set aside.
    Beat eggs with electric mixer at medium speed until frothy.
    Gradually add sugar, beating until thick.
    Add gelatin mixture, milk and vanilla; mix well.
    Stir in strawberries.
    Pour mixture into freezer can of 1-gallon electric or hand-turned freezer.
    Freeze until firm according to your manufacturer's directions.
    Yields about 1 gallon.
