Never Fail Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. cream
    1 c. butter
    1 c. milk
    4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook to 248\u00b0 or hard ball stage, stirring frequently.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla; beat well.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    When firm, cut into squares.
    Wrap in Handi-Wrap.
