Sauerkraut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cocoa
    2/3 c. sauerkraut
    2/3 c. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. water
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Rinse and drain sauerkraut; sift together flour, baking powder, salt, soda and cocoa.
    Snip sauerkraut into small pieces.
    Cream butter until fluffy; add eggs one at a time and add sugar.
    Cream until light and add vanilla.
    Stir in flour mixture alternately with water.
    (Begin with flour and end with flour).
    Fold in sauerkraut.
    Turn batter into 2 (8-inch) round layer pans.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven 30 to 35 minutes.
