Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 bananas, sliced
    1 egg
    2 c. sifted enriched flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream
    shortening, sugar and bananas.
    Add egg and beat until well
    blended.
    Combine dry ingredients and gently stir them
    into shortening mixture alternately with liquid ingredients.
    Turn mixture into 8 x 4 x 3-inch loaf pan, greased, and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
