Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. finely chopped bacon
    1/4 c. onion
    1 c. boiling water
    2 c. pared, cubed potatoes, cooked
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 can chopped clams
    hot milk
    butter
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; add onion and saute until lightly browned.
    Add 1 cup boiling water, potatoes, salt and pepper.
    Boil 15 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
    Add clams and heat 1 minute.
    Place mixture in bowls, top with pat of butter and add hot milk to desired consistency.
