Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. coarsely chopped peeled apples
1 c. cooking oil
2 unbeaten eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation

Mix spices and sugar and pour over apples.
Let stand 1 hour. Add eggs, oil and vanilla and blend.
Add flour, salt and soda (sifted together), stirring until just blended.
Add raisins and nuts and mix.
Pour into greased, wax paper-lined 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan or 2 loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done. Freezes well.
