Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. white Karo
    2 Tbsp. oleo
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    In a large pan, combine sugar, soda and salt.
    Stir in buttermilk and Karo.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Cook and stir to hard ball.
    Remove from heat; add oleo.
    Stir in pecans.
    Beat until mixture is thick enough to drop, perhaps 5 to 6 minutes.
    Drop on wax paper.
    If mixture gets too stiff, add 1 teaspoon of hot water.
