Pumpkin Bread(4Th Place At Montgomery Co. Fair, Maryland) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
16 oz. can pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating very well.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each addition.
Combine next 7 ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture alternating with pumpkin and ending with flour.
Stir in vanilla. Put in 2 greased, floured loaf pans.
Bake 45 minutes or until done.
Cool on wire racks.
Makes 2 loaves.
