Unstuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 head cabbage, chopped
1/2 c. water
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 small can sauerkraut (optional)
Preparation

Saute onion in a little oil or margarine.
Add ground beef, brown well and drain.
Add chopped cabbage and water.
Simmer until cabbage is tender.
Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Simmer until well heated, stirring once or twice.
Other spices, such as oregano and basil, may be added.
Serve over rice.
