Skillet Cherry Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. jar (2 c.) cherry preserves
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    4 whole cloves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 cut-up fryer or 4 large breasts
    1/4 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Blend first 6 ingredients. Set aside.
    Combine flour and salt in paper or plastic bag. Add 2 or 3 pieces of chicken at a time and shake.
    Brown chicken in oil over medium heat, turning with tongs.
    Cover and cook 15 minutes. Drain off fat.
    Add cherry sauce. Cover and simmer over very low heat, skin side up for 15 minutes. Turn and simmer 15 minutes more or until tender.
