Cream Of Asparagus Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. cooked asparagus, cut in 1-inch pieces and well drained
    1 c. asparagus puree
    1 qt. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Melt butter; remove from heat.
    Blend in flour.
    Gradually add milk, stirring until well blended.
    Stir while cooking over low heat until thick and smooth.
    Add asparagus puree, asparagus and seasonings; mix well.
    Before serving, add cheese.
    Stir until cheese is melted and well blended.
