Cornbread Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. half and half
1/3 c. shortening, melted
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
2 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well. Combine remaining ingredients, mixing well.
Add to dry mixture, stirring until smooth. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool loaf in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan.
Serve warm or cool completely on wire rack.
