Braised Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. bacon, diced
1 head (red) cabbage (about 2 lb.)
1 medium onion, diced
1 apple, shredded
1 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp.
Discard all grease, but 1 tablespoon. To bacon, add apple, cabbage, water, vinegar, salt and pepper. Cook with a top on pan for 45 minutes until tender.
Can be cooked in pressure cooker.
