Company Chicken Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. slivered almonds
salt and pepper to taste
3 c. cooked chicken, skinned and cut bite size
2 c. cooked rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. sour cream
2 oz. jar pimiento
Preparation

Saute onion until transparent with water chestnuts and almonds in butter.
Add salt and pepper.
Mix cooked chicken and rice with sauteed ingredients. Spread in a 10 x 15-inch pan. Top with chopped pimiento.
Mix mushroom soup with sour cream and spread over chicken.
May top with cheese or crumbs, if desired.
Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
