Ingredients

3/4 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. plain flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix oil, sugar, molasses and beaten egg.
Blend dry ingredients into first mixture.
Mix well.
Chill for 10 minutes. Take out, form into balls and roll in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
