Earthquake Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 devil's food cake or German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) box cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 large coconut
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Grease and flour a deep sheet cake pan.
Cover the bottom of the cake pan with coconut and chopped pecans.
Mix the box of cake mix as directed on the box.
Pour cake batter into pan.
Cream 1 stick of butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar together.
Drop large spoonfuls across the top of batter with little spacing between drops.
Put into oven and bake for approximately 45 to 55 minutes.
The cream cheese mixture should sink into the cake and the cake will be cracked open, hence \"Earthquake Cake\".
The cake is done when the center springs back with a light touch.
