Chocolate-Dipped Shortbread Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate mini-morsels, divided
    1 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    3/4 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large bowl, combine flour, butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla; mix until well blended.
    Stir in 1 cup mini-morsels; mix well.
    Drop dough by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets; shape into 2-inch logs or press into circles using bottom of floured glass.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool completely.
