Aunt Max'S Hamburger Dills - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 pt. water
    1/2 c. pickling salt
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 slice onion
    1 head dill
    1 clove garlic
    1 small piece alum
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers into jars and fill with hot liquid.
    Seal. Makes 3 to 4 quarts.
    Pickles will be ready in 8 weeks.
