Ingredients

1/3 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar on medium speed for 5 minutes.
Add eggs, one at a time; mix well.
Add vanilla and mix until blended. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture.
Mix on low speed until well blended.
Add nuts.
Spread evenly in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0
for 25 minutes, or until done when tested with toothpick.
