Coconut Krispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 pkg. coconut
Preparation
    Melt margarine, add sugar, dates and beaten egg.
    Stir constantly for 5 minutes or until mixture bubbles.
    Remove from heat, add vanilla, Rice Krispies and walnuts.
    With greased hands, form balls and then roll in coconut.
    Place on wax paper to cool. Yields between 24 to 48, depending on size of ball.
