Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. (2 to 3) mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly.
Add eggs and bananas, beating until light. Alternately add flour mix and milk; beat after each addition until smooth.
Stir in nuts.
Pour batter into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until tests done.
Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
Makes 1 loaf.
