Ingredients

6 eggs
grated rind of 1 orange
2/3 c. orange juice
1/3 c. Grand Marnier
1/3 c. milk
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
butter for frying
8 (3/4-inch) slices French bread
Preparation

Beat eggs and add all remaining ingredients except bread.
Mix well.
Coat the bread slices with the batter.
Place in a single layer in a dish.
Pour the remaining batter over the bread layer. Cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the French toast a few pieces at a time and saute until nicely browned. Serve immediately.
