Ingredients

4 c. thinly sliced onions
3 Tbsp. margarine
5 c. beef broth (may use canned)
1 beef bouillon cube
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
dash of pepper
4 oz. Swiss cheese
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
6 slices French bread, toasted
Preparation

In 5-quart Dutch oven, saute onions in margarine over low heat until onions are tender.
Stir in beef broth, bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
In medium bowl, combine cheeses.
Ladle soup into ovenproof bowl. Top each with French bread and top with 2 tablespoons of cheese mixture.
Place under oven broiler for 1 to 3 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Serve hot.
Place bowls on cookie sheet for easy broiling.
