Old-Fashioned Cream Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
1 Tbsp. margarine
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg yolks; add milk.
Sift dry ingredients together and place in double boiler.
Stir in 1/3 cup milk and egg yolks. Mix and stir; add remaining milk.
Cook until thick, then add butter and vanilla.
