Atlanta Pork Chops And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. celery
    1/4 c. onion
    1/4 c. green pepper
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 c. uncooked rice
Preparation
    In large skillet, brown chops in hot oil (375\u00b0); remove chops. Add celery, onion and green pepper; cook lightly.
    Drain fat. Stir in remaining ingredients; add chops.
    Bring to boil.
    Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
