Pone Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Alabama corn meal
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients.
    Make small pones and pat out flat. Place in well-greased (Crisco oil) pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 until brown.
    Serve with beans, peas, greens, etc.
