Poached Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pears, peeled
    4 cloves
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 c. Port wine (Rosy Port)
    large slice orange rind
Preparation
    Fill 3-quart saucepan 1/3 full of water.
    Add orange peel, cloves and cinnamon.
    Bring to light boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Add pears and Port; cover and continue at a light boil for 15 minutes or until pears are tender.
    Serve with Port sauce.
