Braised Fresh Cucumbers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 cucumbers, pared and thinly sliced
2 tsp. salt
3 bacon slices, diced
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. non-caloric liquid sweetener
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
Preparation

Layer cucumbers in small bowl; sprinkle with salt. Refrigerate, covered, for 30 minutes.
Saute bacon in large skillet until crisp; drain well.
Add cucumbers, drained thoroughly, and remaining ingredients.
Stir to mix well.
Cook, covered, over low heat for 10 to 12 minutes.
