Mama'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or oleo
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    buttermilk (to make medium thin batter)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together using enough buttermilk to make a medium batter.
    Pour in hot skillet with bacon drippings, sprinkled with meal to keep from sticking.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven about 30 minutes.
