Congo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. brown sugar
    2/3 c. melted shortening
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. chocolate bits
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together in large bowl.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Cut in bars.
    Yields 5 dozen.
