Baked Sausages - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. pork sausage links
    2 sliced onions
    1 lb. dark brown sugar
    3 to 4 apples, unpeeled, cored and sliced
Preparation
    Put sausages at bottom of Dutch oven or heavy baking dish. Spread sliced onions over sausages.
    Spread apples over onions to cover.
    Pack brown sugar over top.
    Bake, covered, at 300\u00b0 for 3 1/2 hours.
    Remove most of apple and onions and drain off most of liquid before serving.
    Cut sausages in half.
    Serve in chafing dish with toothpicks or cocktail forks.
