Cloud Nine Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix sugar, salt and 2 cups flour with shortening until crumbly; add egg and milk.
    Mix together lightly; add rest of flour (if needed) to make soft dough.
    Knead gently 2 or 3 strokes; pat out to 3/4-inch height.
    Cut; bake close together for soft biscuits or far apart for crusty ones.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
