Carrot Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, minced
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
    1 c. milk
    1 c. half and half
    4 c. diagonally sliced, scraped carrots, cooked and drained
    6 slices American cheese
    2 c. buttered fresh bread crumbs
Preparation
    Saute onion in melted butter.
    Stir in flour, seasoned salt and pepper.
    Gradually add milk and half and half, stirring constantly.
    Arrange a layer of carrots in a 2-quart casserole; place 3 slices of cheese over carrots.
    Repeat layers and pour sauce over all.
    Top with bread crumbs and bake at 350\u00b0, uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes.
