Pineapple Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1 Tbsp. pineapple juice (if needed to make a soft dough)
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients; work in shortening with 2 knives.
    Add eggs well beaten (reserving a small amount of unbeaten white to brush over the top), fruit and juice.
    Toss on floured board.
    Pat and roll to 3/4 inch thickness as square and oblong as possible; cut into triangle shapes.
    Brush with white of egg, sprinkling generously with sugar.
    Bake in 450\u00b0 oven 12 minutes.
    Makes about 16.
