Fruit Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. citric acid
    2 qt. boiling water
    4 c. sugar
    4 qt. cold water
    1 (46 oz.) pineapple juice
    2 small cans frozen orange juice
    2 (64 oz.) bottles ginger ale
    food coloring (any color desired)
Preparation
    Mix citric acid, boiling water and sugar and let stand for 24 hours.
    Add cold water, food coloring, pineapple juice and orange juice to the first mixture and freeze.
    Set out of freezer 4 to 5 hours before serving, then add chilled ginger ale when ready to serve.
