Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

1 3/4 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. hot applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar and blend well.
Add beaten eggs. Heat applesauce to beyond warm but not to piping hot. Add baking soda to applesauce and stir until foaming. Add to other ingredients. Rub raisins with a little flour and add remaining ingredients.
Mix well.
Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0 in tube pan.
Can be served as is or with confectioners sugar icing.
