Roman Eggplant - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium eggplant, pared and cut in 1/2-inch slices
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
    3/4 c. bread crumbs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (8 oz. or 10 3/4 oz.) can spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
    1 Tbsp. crushed oregano leaves
    4 oz. sharp process American cheese or Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Dip eggplant in butter, then in mixture of bread crumbs and salt.
    Place on greased baking sheet.
    Spoon sauce on top of each slice; sprinkle with oregano and cheese.
    Bake in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until done.
    Serves 5.
