Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 scant qt. flour
3 1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. salt
5 heaping Tbsp. sugar
2 eggs (even when baking half)
1 yeast cake
3 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Heat milk and shortening.
Add sugar and salt.
Beat eggs; add to warm milk.
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Add liquid after some of the flour.
Let rise.
Do not knead first time up. Keep dough soft.
Roll out and cut into squares.
Deep fry until golden.
