Brown Sugar Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    powdered sugar
    nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Melt butter over hot water in double boiler.
    Add sugar and milk.
    Cook over boiling water for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Add powdered sugar until of fudge consistency.
    Spread in 8-inch square pan, very lightly buttered.
    Cut into squares.
