Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. coarse ground beef
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/2 tsp. crushed red peppers
    4 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 can chili beans
Preparation
    Place ground beef and water in pot and boil for approximately 1 1/2 hours at medium heat. Add salt, pepper and chili powder and cook at low temperature 1 hour.
    Drain liquid off 1 can of beans and add to chili.
    You do not have to cook any further.
    Beans are not needed, but may be used, if desired.
    Will serve 12 people.
