Brazilian Black Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. black beans
    5 cloves garlic, minced
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
    2 Tbsp. cumin powder
    2 Tbsp. cumin seed
    pinch of salt
    1 large tomato, chopped
Preparation
    Soak black beans overnight in pan full of water.
    Saute onion and garlic until brown.
    Put beans in and cover with water (about 6 to 7 cups).
    Bring beans to a boil.
    Add cilantro, cumin seed, cumin powder, tomatoes and salt.
    Bring beans to a simmer.
    Leave beans to simmer for 2 hours approximately.
    Serve with white rice and salsa.
